В статье рассматриваются вопросы становления и первые итоги деятельности Африканского Союза (АС), который стал преемником ОАЕ в новых исторических условиях. Основное внимание уделено миротворческой деятельности АС, а также Всеафриканского парламента, взаимодействию с «восьмеркой», развитию интеграционных процессов на континенте.

African Union: New Search for African Integration in the Epoch of Globalization

The article examines the questions of the formation and first results of the activity of the African Union, which became the successor of the Organization of African Unity in the new historical conditions. Main attention is devoted to the peacekeeping activity of the African Union, and also the All-Africa parliament, interaction with the G8, as well as the development of integration processes on the continent.
