In this systematic review were evaluated studies related to network slicing technology in 5G networks. Slicing is the main feature of the newly developed 5G wireless networks. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) Statement was followed with performing a literature search using multiple official sources (i.e, 3GPP, ETSI, GSMA, Cisco, Huawei, Verizon, etc.) and scientific databases (i.e, ResearchGate, ScienceDirect, IEEE Xplore, IEEE Spectrum, etc.). Studies, including technical characteristics overview of 5G network slicing technology, were investigated according to diverse service requirements. In total, more than 150 documents and articles were analyzed, during the last two years via above-mentioned. official sources and scientific databases. All these documents and articles fully demonstrated the effectiveness of slicing technology for solving radio resources scarcity problems. The results of this systematic review can be used by specialists who are interested in the main advantages of 5G slicing technology in effective utilization of available radio resources.
