CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CURRENT STATE OF NATURAL AND MAN-MADE GEOSYSTEMS IN TVER OBLAST

Based on the MSU Forests and The UNECE International Cooperative Programme on Integrated Monitoring of Air Pollution Effects on Ecosystems methodologies, the paper presents the results of environmental monitoring of two key areas in Tver Oblast where a woodworking plant was previously located. It was found that the ecosystems of the studied areas recovered after the plant's closure, however, these areas are currently experiencing a significant recreational load. Based on the results of the monitoring carried out, recommendations were made to reduce the recreational load for each of the study areas.
