The article is devoted to the experimental study and comparison of the mechanical properties of samples, which are made of various polymers in order to determine the most durable and technologically advanced plastic for its further use in production of parts with any complexity in the shortest possible time and with minimal costs. During the tests, yield strength, ultimate strength, elasticity modulus, and Poisson's ratio were determined. In the course of the study, samples are printed on a 3D printer by fused deposition modeling (FDM). They are made from polymers of the following names: thermoplastic resin acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, thermoplastic resin acrylonitrile butadiene styrene with the addition of titanium nitrite as a dye, thermoplastic resin acrylonitrile butadiene styrene with the addition of carbon inserts, thermoplastic polyester polylactide, a compound based on polylactide, thermoplastic polyethylene terephthalate glycol, nylon with the addition of carbon inserts, industrial thermoplastic based on acrylonitrile butadiene styrene. © 2021 Author(s).
