Analysis of the Technical Characteristics of X-Ray Therapy Systems and the Potential for Their Further Improvement

Studies of the experience and preferences of medical equipment users are important both for optimal organization of work in hospital departments and for improving medical equipment. In this work, the characteristics of all models of X-ray therapy equipment currently available on the market are analyzed and the preferences of target users are discussed. A taxonomy is proposed, and an ideal device meeting the needs of the target users is described based on this taxonomy. Selection criteria and requirements for medical equipment have changed in response to the digital transformation and changes in occupational regulations. © 2022, Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.
