ISO 9001 is the most widely recognized standard boasting the world economy development: More than 200 countries are involved and over 1 million organizations are certified. ISO 9001 sets out requirements for quality management systems (QMS) and is applicable for all types of organization. QMS can bring significant benefits for organizations' competitiveness and success. The motivation for implementation mainly deals with changes and improvement, contribution to growing of sales, increasing of exports and reducing barriers to international trade due to improvements in product quality and differentiation, better market visibility. Software development is one of the leading industries of the world economy. Foreign software sales of Russian companies have been on the rise for the last 20 years, but the share of software export lag far behind developed countries. Though many Russian software companies are planning to increase exports, they do not connect this task to improvement of management. The research is focused on performance of Kaspersky Lab, one of the largest software companies in Russia, that implemented ISO-9001 in 2016. We used modified principal component analysis to calculate the indices of the company's performance for the several years, that allows to make assessment of the progress or regress in its development due to ISO 9001 certification. © 2021 IEEE.
