N SEARCH OF PARIS BRASSERIES

The article is devoted to Paris beerhouses (pubs) named brasseries. These brasseries have emerged in Paris in the wake of the 1870 French-Prussian war. Alsace citizens chased from their territories have settled in Paris and opened their brasseries there. Their traditional dishes included choucroute, onion soup, tarteflambee. Soon after the brasseries opened they turned into a favorite place for writers and poets, philosophers and political leaders, artists and musicians.
