Branding of armaments and innovative technologies of the defense-industrial complex of the Russian federation as a new geopolitical strategy

The competition for international influence and the results of the distribution of political, economic and social resources essentially depend on the cultural-symbolic capital that modern states possess. Negative political trends in recent decades have sharply raised the issue of Russia's geopolitical status, which impedes the realization of its national interests. The loss of the status of a superpower after the collapse of the USSR, the centrifugal tendencies in the former Soviet Union, the cooling of political relations with the West led by the United States and the tendency towards Russia's geopolitical isolation point to the insufficient effectiveness of its positioning in the world. Inconsistent communication policy in modern conditions influences the results of the state's activities in both foreign and domestic policy. We must admit that Russia's image in the international arena is contradictory and unstable. At the same time, national branding is aimed at growing patriotic sentiment, trust in the state, pride in your country, which is important for rallying the nation in the face of external challenges and threats. National branding as a technology for expanding the symbolic capital of nation-states has a significant impact on the possibilities of strengthening their political weight and global position in the modern world order. The media-driven society of global communications make it necessary for a nation to win strong positions by sending communicative messages about its potential and geopolitical ambitions to the target audiences within the framework of the system communication strategy. The defense-industrial complex of the Russian Federation, which ensures the implementation of the value categories of national security, is a strategic branch of the development of Russian statehood, which traditionally is in the focus of attention of the state, the population and the international community. Innovative developments and breakthrough technological solutions of the defense-industrial complex contribute not only to strengthening the country's defense, but are also aimed at the recovery of the industry as a whole. Today, the development of an innovative policy to strengthen the Russian defense-industrial complex and its media representation are the basis of Russia's national branding.
