WANG HUNING: POLITICAL CAREER AND IDEAS

The author analyzed the transformation of Wang Huning's theoretical ideas, as well as his becoming one of the leading political scientists of the PRC and politician whose success in research has allowed him to make a brilliant career in public service. The author concludes that despite the suspension of academic work, Wang Huning's ideas are used as the ideological and conceptual component of the PRC's foreign and domestic policy, that determines the continuity and consistency of reforms in this area. Moreover, Wang Huning's growing role as a conductor and curator of theintroduction of innovative ideas, as well as the person who is responsible for the correct interpretation of the concept of socialism of the new era with Chinese characteristics.
