Интернационализация образования в России и Великобритании: сравнительное исследование опыта университетов

В данной статье рассматриваются основные подходы к развитию интернационализации в сфере высшего образования на примере сравнительного рассмотрения опыта таких вузов России и Великобритании, как Российский университет дружбы народов и Университет Йорка. Был выделен ряяд направлений интернационализации вузовского образования, а именно: администрирование международной деятельности; сотрудничество с иностранными специалистами, научный и преподавательский обмен; интернациональные учебные группы, работа со студентами-иностранцами; повышение качества обучения и научно-исследовательской работы. В статье делаются выводы о том, что, несмотря на различия в изначальной стратегии университетов, в настоящее время интернационализация осуществляется по схожим принципам и оказывает положительное влияние на развитие учебных заведений в целом, придает ускорение внутренним процессам, способствует укреплению международной репутации, расширению рынка трудоустройства выпускников, росту международных рейтингов.

INTERNATIONALIZATION OF RUSSIAN AND BRITISH UNIVERSITIES: A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF UNIVERSITIES EXPERIENCE

The article considers the principal approaches to internationalization of university based on the comparative study of universities of Russia and the UK (RUDN University and University of York). The principal reasons for the internationalization as well as the strategies of its development have been identified in this scientific article. The analysis made by the authors highlighted the following key points in internationalization perception: international activity servicing; international collaboration with researchers and teaching staff; academic exchanges; multi-national student groups; international students adaptation; education and research quality. The conclusion has been made that despite the differences in the initial strategies of the universities, internationalization is being carried out in them according to similar principles and has a positive impact on the development of educational institutions. It accelerates the university development, contributes to strengthening the international reputation and expanding the market of graduate employment, thus increasing the international ratings of institutions. The negative aspects associated with the low level of foreign students and employees are overcome through directional work in the receiving countries, e.g. opening of profile classes, holding Olympiads, etc. International academic and student mobility, the invitation of teachers of partner universities as experts, external reviewers and examiners allows bringing to a new level the quality of training and improving the skills of full-time teachers.
