Features of the Russian variety of the English language in the use of adjectives and verbs

The purpose of the study is to provide grounds for distinguishing between a variety of a foreign language used to communicate with native speakers and broadcast common cultural values and a language intended for communication with speakers of a different culture. The article raises the issue of interference between native and foreign languages, which gives rise to a special veriety of a foreign language. Particular attention is paid to the differences between the English and Russian languages in the field of peripheral adjectives and verbs, which constitute the distinctive features of the Russian version of the English language. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that the article for the first time, on the basis of categorical and cognitive approaches, highlights the specifics of the Russian variety of the English language in the field of adjectives and verbs. As a result of the study, it was revealed that the native language largely determines the way of expressing concepts in a foreign language, which is due, according to the authors of the article, to various linguistic trends in the field of verbs and adjectives, namely, the preference of English for the nominal method of expression, and Russian for verbal. This conclusion allows us to say that students of English, due to their own linguistic picture of the world, modify the language, which lets us distinguish several varieties of the English language.

Цель исследования - привести основания для разграничения варианта иностранного языка, используемого для общения с носителями языка и трансляции общих культурных ценностей, и языка, предназначенного для общения с носителем иной культуры. В статье поднимается вопрос об интерференции родного и иностранного языка, что порождает особый вариант иностранного языка. Особое внимание уделяется различиям английского и русского языков в области периферийных прилагательных и глаголов, что и составляет отличительные признаки русского варианта английского языка. Научная новизна работы заключается в том, что в ней впервые на основании категориального и когнитивного подходов выделена специфика русского варианта английского языка в области прилагательных и глаголов. В результате исследования выявлено, что родной язык во многом определяет способ выражения понятий на иностранном языке, что обусловлено, по мнению авторов статьи, различными языковыми тенденциями в области глаголов и прилагательных, а именно, предпочтением английского языка к именному способу выражения, а русского - к глагольному. Данное заключение позволяет говорить о том, что изучающие английский язык в силу собственной языковой картины мира модифицируют язык, что позволяет говорить о нескольких вариантах английского языка.
