ПРЕОДОЛИМО ЛИ «СЛАДОСТРАСТИЕ МЫСЛИ О БЕСЦЕЛЬНОЙ ЖИЗНИ»? (О РОЛИ САМОРЕФЛЕКСИИ В ОБРЕТЕНИИ ЛИЧНОЙ ИДЕИ В ПОВЕСТИ А. П. ЧЕХОВА «ОГНИ»)

Статья посвящена вопросу о роли личного опыта и саморефлексии в повести А. П. Чехова «Огни». Актуальность исследования определена тем фактором, что роль саморефлескии в указанной чеховской повести не была рассмотрена исследователями творчества писателя. Герой повести «Огни», рассказывая «роман» из своей молодости, снова переживает, осмысливает и оценивает свои прошлые поступки и мысли. В результате исследования было доказано, что саморефлексия имела решающую роль в осмыслении героем собственного жизненного опыта и обретении индивидуального понимания смысла жизни. Однако его рассказ не производит на слушателей должного впечатления, потому что чужой опыт им не интересен.

«IS THE «VOLUPTUOUSNESS OF THE THOUGHT OF AN AIMLESS LIFE» SURMOUNTABLE? (ON THE ROLE OF SELF-REFLECTION IN FINDING A PERSONAL IDEA IN A. P. CHEKHOV'S NOVELLA «LIGHTS»)

The article is devoted to the role of personal experience and self-reflection in A. P. Chekhov's novella «Lights». The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that the role of self-reflection in the Chekhov story has not been considered by researchers of the writer's creativity. The protagonist of the story «Lights», telling a «novel» from his youth, experiences again, comprehends and evaluates his past actions and thoughts. As a result of the study, it was proved that self-reflection played a decisive role in the protagonist's comprehension of his own life experience and gaining an individual understanding of the meaning of life. However, his story does not make a proper impression on the listeners, because they are not interested in someone else's experience.
