LINGVOCULTURAL ADAPTATION OF CHINESE STUDENTS TO TRAINING AT RUSSIAN HIGHER SCHOOL

The paper touches upon problems of liguocultural adaptation of Chinese students to training at a Russian higher school in terms of learning Russian as a foreign language (RFL) at a preparatory stage. Chinese students are known as one of the most difficult contingents of Russian universities, which is largely explained by fact that they speak not only a different language, but also have other culture, other pedagogical tradition, family, school and university training. Against the background of an increase of the number of students from Greater China at Russian higher schools, the issues of their linguocultural adaptation are particularly topical in scientific and methodological and practical terms. The research is based on creation of favourable academic conditions aimed at minimization of difficulties in adaptation of Chinese students in the process of the Russian language learning. The developed ethnomethodical system demonstrates positive influence on the effectiveness of academic performance of Chinese students and helps them to overcome sociocultural shock. The article has practical importance for the teacher of Russian as a foreign language who works with Chinese students.
