Sixth Beijing Seminar on Tibetology in 2016
In August 1-4, 2016, Beijing hosted the Sixth International Seminar on Tibetology. It was organized by the Chinese Tibetological Center, the most well-known Chinese research center on Tibet. The Seminar was dedicated to Tibetan culture, religion, traditions, medicine etc. Usually such seminars lasts for 4 days, after which a trip in any significant places related to Tibetan culture is organized to participants interested in such visits. In 2016, it was a trip to Wutai-Shan. Overall, the Beijing seminar is an important place not only for exchange of results of scientific research, but also to understand the current PRC state policy in respect of Tibet.
