Industrial development of hydrocarbon deposits in the Russian part of the Caspian Sea began several years ago. The opening of a new oil “province” on the northern shelf of the Caspian Sea gave impetus to the development of all branches of the Astrakhan economy: production of hydrocarbons, international transport corridors,social infrastructure.
