Far be it from us to advise couching for cataract as a widespread application, but it merits consideration and seems to be indicated especially when the extraction of cataract is not possible for general or local reasons. We feel that this operation has been undeservedly neglected. However, with further refinements in the level of modern ophthalmic surgical technique, couching for cataract should provide even greater unexpected advantages.
