Effect of the hydrogen concentration on the adsorption and catalytic properties of a PdRu alloy

An increase in the hydrogen concentration in the PdRu alloy increases the adsorption of cyclohexane on the hydrogen-poor α phase and decreases it on the hydrogen-rich β phase. The kinetics of the hydrogenation of benzene to cyclohexane on the α and β phases are different. These phenomena indicate that the adsorbed hydrogen interacts with the hydrocarbon species. © 1983.
