Immunohistochemical examination was earned out to investigate the expression of androgen receptors antigens in epithelial cells of prostate at benign prostate hypertrophy and adenocarcinoma with or without progression. The positive reaction on androgen receptors was marked (90,0 ± 3,9 %) in immunohistochemical researches of BPH samples in patients without progression. The average quantity of the stained nucleuses was authentically reduced (31,3 ± 4,4 %) in cases with progression. There were 59,0 ± 2,7 % stained cells in prostate adenocarcinoma without progression within one year, in other cases the average quantity of nuclear androgen receptors corresponded - 21,1 ± 1,4 %. Thus, in our researches the heterogeneity of cells populations in prostate tumors shows depending on sensitivity to anti-androgen therapy.
