Background. With the rapid development of technology, virtual reality (VR), which is a computer-based simulation that allows a person to experience and interact with a computer-generated environment in a realistic way, has become more accessible and advanced, leading to an increase in its use in various industries. Purpose. The purpose of this study is to explore the general uses of virtual reality in human life. This study aims to identify the different industries that have adopted virtual reality technologies and how they are using it to enhance human experiences and improve the way we learn, play, work, and interact. Matrials and Methods. This study employed a scoping review of peer-reviewed articles and literature on virtual reality. The search strategy was based on keywords related to the use of virtual reality in different industries. The articles were screened based on relevance and quality, and relevant data were extracted for analysis. Results. The results of this study show that virtual reality is being used in various industries such as medicine, education, entertainment, and sports, among others. In medicine, virtual reality is used for medical training, therapy, and surgery planning. In education, virtual reality provides immersive and interactive learning experiences. In entertainment, virtual reality is used for video gaming, movies, and theme parks. Lastly, in sports, virtual reality is used for training and for enhancing the viewing experience for fans. Conclusion. In conclusion, the authors of this review state that the use of virtual reality in human real life has many benefits and applications that can enhance our experiences and improve the way we interact with technology. The findings of this study highlight the potential of virtual reality in various industries, such as medicine, and the importance of continuing to explore its uses and applications.
