The process of fractional crystallization controlling magma evolution for granitoid rocks using geochemical data

The main aim of this study to determine the fractional crystallization process controlling formation of granite. In the “IMGRE” lab (Russia), trace element and rare earth element contents were measured using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) on rock samples. Geochemical characteristics such as extreme depletion in Ti, P, and Eu suggest fractional crystallization during the formation of granites in Syrostan massive. These findings provide important information about how magma evolves and how minerals form during the process of magma differentiation. Similarly, they have tectonic significance by providing insight into the processes that occurred during the formation of granite.
