Английский для специальных целей для наноинженеров: проблемы и рекомендации

В последние годы в российских университетах преподаванию английского языка для специальных целей стали уделять повышенное внимание. В рамках данной статьи авторам представляется интересным рассмотреть термин ESP (English for Specific Purposes) с точки зрения преподавания английского языка для специальных целей в сфере наноинженерии. В ходе исследования авторы обращают внимание на ряд сложностей, с которыми сталкиваются преподаватели и студенты в процессе проведения занятий в рамках ESP по данной тематике. Для выявления ряда важных проблем они опираются на опрос, проведенный среди преподавателей и студентов ведущих российских Вузов (Российский университет дружбы народов и Российский экономический университет им. Г. В. Плеханова). В заключении представлены некоторые рекомендации по повышению уровня и эффективности преподавания английского языка для специальных целей в рамках отраслевого профессионального языка (языка нанотехнологий).Цель исследования - на основе проведённого опроса среди студентов и преподавателей РУДН и РЭУ выявить ряд проблем в преподавании ESP для наноинженерных специальностей, обобщить результаты исследования и представить рекомендации по усовершенствованию процесса обучения, как для студентов, преподавателей, так и для университетов.Научная новизна - впервые делается попытка более пристально обратить внимание на ряд проблем, возникающих в ходе преподавания ESP для наноинженеров с фокусом на студентов, преподавателей и университеты в целом.В результате исследования выявлен ряд сложностей, возникающих при преподавании иностранного языка и организации учебного процесса курса ESP, касающихся не только студентов, преподавателей, педагогического дизайна курса, но и методологических подходов, используемых университетами.

In recent years, Russian universities have begun to pay increased attention to the teaching of English for special purposes. Within the framework of this article, it seems interesting to the authors to consider the term ESP (English for Specific Purposes) from the point of view of teaching English for Specific Purposes in the field of nanoengineering. In the course of the study, the authors draw attention to a number of difficulties that teachers and students face in the process of conducting ESP classes on this topic. To identify a number of important problems, they rely on a survey conducted among teachers and students of leading Russian universities (Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia and Plekhanov Russian University of Economics). In conclusion, some recommendations are presented to improve the level and effectiveness of teaching English for special purposes within the framework of an industry professional language (the language of nanotechnology).The purpose of the study is to identify a number of problems in teaching ESP for nanoengineering specialties based on a survey among students and teachers of PFUR and PRUE, summarize the results of the study and provide recommendations for improving the learning process, both for students, teachers and universities.Scientific novelty - for the first time an attempt is made to pay closer attention to a number of problems that arise in the course of teaching ESP for nanoengineers with a focus on students, teachers and universities in general.As a result of the study, a number of difficulties were identified that arise when teaching a foreign language and organizing the educational process of the ESP course, relating not only to students, teachers, pedagogical design of the course, but also to the methodological approaches used by universities.
