The article explores the problem of literary translation of an ethnocultural text, which presents the phenomena of translinguism and transculturation at the linguistic level, allowing us to talk about the process of cultural transfer. The authors define the polyphonic specificity of the "writer - translator" dialogue in the optics of the "producing consciousness - perceiving consciousness" paradigm, and identify the features of the translation representation of transcultural and translingual elements in the works of fiction of the writers who use them. The article analyzes the strategies of a translator who captures the linguistic culture and artistic imagery of the original text at a different linguistic level of his translation, both in the system of congenial and inaccurate translations. The article examines the foreign-language and foreign-cultural mode of the original and translation of the novel-pentalogy "Burenushka" (sic) by Tansulpan Garipova, the levels of correlation of the processes of cohesion and coherence in the translation of an ethnocultural text. The article also defines the author's strategy for using translation mechanisms such as multilingual hybridization, transliteration, transcription, and translational tracing paper in the transcultural text of Shamshad Abdullaev's collection "The Other South". Attention is focused on the need to take into account the specifics of the translation of an artistic image, which can sometimes be achieved only in a system of "inaccurate accuracy".
