Historical Aspects of Chronic Polypous Rhinosinusitis and Certain Issues of Morphological Methods of Diagnosis, Morphogenesis: A Literature Review

Introduction. The increase in morbidity, polyetiology and the tendency to relapse of polypous rhinosinusitis confirm the relevance of disease prediction. Purpose. To analyze the literature sources on the structural organization and formation of polypous tissue in polypous the prognosis of a possible relapse. Materials and methods. The analysis of the literature material on the morphology and morphogenesis of polypous tissue in chronic polypous rhinosinusitis of scientific databases Scopus, Web of Science, Medline, as well as domestic specialized publications eLibrary for the period 2003–2023. Results. The study of local inflammatory changes in the body of patients, morphological aspects of mucosal remodeling in polypous rhinosinusitis is widely studied at present. The use of advanced technologies such as luminescent microscopy, histoautoradiography and lectinohistochemistry will allow us to assess the structural organization of polypous tissue and the effect of local inflammatory process on clinical forms of chronic polypous rhinosinusitis, optimize treatment tactics and improve. Conclusion. Analysis of literature sources on the structural organization and formation of polypous tissue in chronic polypous rhinosinusitis revealed the need to optimize treatment tactics and possible prognosis of relapse using additional morphological methods of their verification. © 2024, Professionalnye Izdaniya.
