Epidemiological data of the recent years further suggest progressive aging of the world’s population. Today, given high life expectancy and the average age of menopause, a woman will be postmenopausal for at least 40% of her entire life. In this regard, the issue of clinical management of this cohort becomes more and more relevant for modern gynecology. At the same time, genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM), that totally and progressively reduces the woman’s quality of life, represents one of the most prevalent menopausal disorders.
